A polyhouse that vents itself through roof and side openings, with no fans to run and no power bill to carry.
A naturally ventilated polyhouse moves air through roof and side openings rather than through fans, so the structure has no continuous running cost and nothing that stops working in a power cut. For most of the crops and most of the climates we build in, it is the sensible starting point, and it is what we are asked for most often.
The trade-off is honest and worth knowing before you buy: natural ventilation follows the weather rather than overriding it. If you need to hold a temperature against a May afternoon regardless of what it costs to do so, a fan-and-pad structure is the right answer instead, and we build those too.
